Getting to Cornish Hill Walk/Stinchar Falls

Depart Ayr on A77 (South), After the village of Minishant take the B7045 towards Straiton, you will come to the village of Kirkmichael where you should take a road to the right and this in turn will lead you to Straiton, Head up mainstreet towards monument then main street goes slightly right and becomes Newton Stewart Road, Head along this road for around 7 miles and you will come to the river stinchar bridge, turn left prior to the bridge along Carrick forrest drive, look for signs for Cornish Hill/Stinchar Falls car park . (25mls from Ayr - 50 mins travel time) Fab views well worth the effort of the drive down

Parking

There is a small car park near the Start of the Cornish Hill Walk/Stinchar Falls Walk.

The planned meeting point is at the Cornish Hill Walk/Stinchar Falls Car Park at 13:00

Walk start point

The walk start point is a couple of minutes from the car park and the duration of the walk is estimated at 3 hrs- 20 mins (walk distance 6 mls)
